My Thoughts

History is usually measured by great men, great battles and great machines but fashion marks milestones as well and in it's evolution is itself a commentary on society and its values. From the independent Gibson Girl to the fabulous flapper, in today's fast paced world we have forgotten much of the delicate beauty that was a part of their lives.

I create clothing that is a reminder of days past. My goal is to preserve once common dressmaking techniques that are part of a bygone era, soon to be lost for ever as our collective memory fades. This is why it is such a thrill for me to bring to life a forgotten ribbon rose from a page in a crumbling magazine, so we can once again appreciate it's beauty and the skilled needlework to make it.

For me the greatest beauty is in the details. When possible I will use antique or vintage parts, fabric, trims and lace to add to the design and authenticity of a garment. With the clothing and accessories seen here I hope to rekindle our romance with fashion.
